About Ernesto F. Rojas, President & CEO

 

Ernesto F. Rojas CISSP has over 25 years of experience in the fields of information security, computer forensics, and management, including executive positions in the energy, manufacturing and natural resource industries. For the past 6 years Mr. Rojas has focused his work and research in the areas of information security, computer forensics and information management; participating in numerous national groups and committees to develop standards for the securing of sensitive, confidential and personal information. As a result he has seen and studied many incidents that have allowed for sensitive information to be improperly obtained, disseminated or leaked to criminals or competitors.

 

He has lent his knowledge to organizations such as SANS, CIS and ISACA and assisted in the publishing of various standards for database and system security, data recovery techniques, and the education of professionals in this emerging area of knowledge. He is a regular speaker to IT and Legal professional organizations and groups, in addition to speaking to small business and industry associations.

 

Mr. Rojas received an MBA degree with honors from Pepperdine University and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Accounting from Loyola University. He also received training and certifications from the U.S. National Security Agency in the areas of risk analysis and evaluation. In 2005 he was nominated and inducted into the High Technology Crime Investigation Assn. He received the certification of CISSP #21652 in 2004 from The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc., (ISC2) an international ISO recognized organization that certifies individuals in the areas of information security management, investigations and information legal matters. In addition to the previously mentioned degrees and certificates he holds many industry and vendor certifications. He has served as a consultant in cases with over 4 million files and over 1 Tb of data, plus investigated cases ranging from regulatory reviews and wrongful terminations to the unauthorized transfer of intellectual property. He provides assistance to attorneys in the areas of preparing interrogatories and depositions, including those of information systems personnel and the review of information systems policies and procedures,

 

Prior to forming Forensic & Security Services Inc. Mr. Rojas was Principal Consultant to InterCONNECT Solutions Inc. were he worked from 1998 to 2005. In prior organizations, he served in management positions as Chief Information Officer, Director of Operations, Security & Communications Manager, and Senior Database Administrator.
